In Malawi and many parts of Southern Africa, Jetu has become a household name. This is a stage name for the 72-year-old Christina Kholiyo, a new musician who has just launched her music career late in life. She has amazed fans by creating content that many would have never expected from someone her age. Jetu has so far released two powerful songs:

Furthermore, she has already featured in a number of songs with younger musicians.

It is important for everyone to support adults so that they can achieve their dreams. It took the efforts of Jetu’s grandson Blessings Kazembe, popularly known as Emmu Dee in the music industry, who spotted music talent in his grandmother. He is currently managing Jetu.
In media interviews, Jetu has always said that her dream has been to do well in music and to be able to fly to South Africa to meet her youngest daughter. The dream has indeed come true as she has managed to fly to the rainbow nation for both live performances and to meet her family. She met her daughter after 14 years. Tears trickled down Jetu’s face when she met her daughter upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport in South Africa. As we publish this article, Jetu is still in South Africa performing live at various venues including Kya Sands Sports Bar in Randburg, Tuuca Bruma in Johannesburg and Salt River Circle Hall in Cape Town.
