On Saturday 3rd May this year, all eyes will be on Nkhata Bay in the northern part of Malawi for the MISA Media Awards. The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) – Malawi Chapter will hold its annual media awards ceremony. The event is part of the celebrations to mark World Press Freedom Day (WPFD). This Day has been celebrated since 1993, and this year’s event focuses on how AI is affecting press freedom worldwide.
Every year, MISA Malawi holds this event to award journalists for reporting excellence on issues ranging from Business and Economics to Human Rights, Public Infrastructure Management, Health Research, Democracy and Good Governance and Adult Learning and Education (ALE).
