On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, MOJA/ACP colleagues had the privilege of attending a special dinner event hosted by DVV International. This evening marked the official closure of the DVV International, South African Country Office after nearly three decades of dedicated work in Youth and Adult Education.
The event, held in partnership with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), was a beautiful and reflective night. It provided a chance to look back at the progress made and celebrate the successful partnerships DVV International has forged with government, civil society, and grassroots organizations over the years.
While DVV International is moving on, their legacy of support has created fertile ground for the continued growth of Adult Education in the country. The event served as both a heartfelt farewell and a look ahead, as we celebrated the launch of Community Education and Training (CET) for the month of September and the ongoing commitment of all the partners to this vital work.
